OVERVIEW

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company or ADNOC is the state-owned oil company of the United Arab Emirates. According to the Oil & Gas Journal, as of January 2015, the UAE holds the seventh-largest proven reserves of oil in the world at 97.8 billion barrels. Most of these reserves are located in Abu Dhabi.

The Shah Gas field is a UAE natural gas field that was discovered in 1967. It began production in 2014 and produces natural gas and condensates.

During the 2016, Kingston have been awarded case management consultancy’ contract by Union Properties [Thermo L.L.C] (Thermo) for the Shah Gas field to prepare a Claim against the contractor for a multi-million USD claim.

Later on the 26th April 2017, Kingston concluded the pleading, disclosure and discovery before the Centre for Amicable Settlement of Disputes, Dubai Courts, and could won an interim judgment in favour of Thermo. Afterward, Kingston proceeded with the motion and trial before Abu Dhabi Commercial Court.
