OVERVIEW

In 2013, the Kensington Hotel was granted the planning permission and the listed building consent of its full refurbishment.

The exterior of the building was to be refurbished and redecorated, while the seven-story interior of the building was to gain full ground floor public areas, a basement gym, modernised suites on its five guestroom floors, and a new lift configuration. Historic features such as the main stairs and the window surrounds were to be retained and refurbished as well.

The contemporary styled rooms retain several historical features, many of which were uncovered during the works. The stylish reception is now directing new clients into a series of themed lobby spaces, a new ground floor bar and a re-styled ground-floor restaurant along Manson Place.
