OVERVIEW

The objective of the North Middlesex University Hospital PFI was to provide new emergency unit, an acute and diagnostic care unit as well as a constructing a building a treatment center connected to the existing estate.

Kingston’s work during 2007 consisted in providing patient process engineering and healthcare development consultancy advice in creating a more robust model of care, project brief and clinical output specifications for the invitation of tender documentation. At that stage, and as an extension to the technical advisory role, Kingston prepared the estates strategy to support the PFI project.

Kingston also provided equipment consultancy services to the client, assisted in preparing a comprehensive plan for the procurement of the new equipment as well as the transfer of the existing equipment.
