OVERVIEW

The design of the hospital was very complex and was only 70% developed upon contract signing.

Kingston played a key role and was considered to be the mainstay of the project.

During the foundation construction, severe contaminations was found, which greatly delayed the erection of the upper buildings. Another significant delay was due to the changes made on how the construction was to be executed.

Constructability reviews were carried out but the large number of sub-contractors did not always get carried through, as well as numerous irregularities and delays occurred due to the planning software used.

The state government accepted the hospital in September 2017.
